Profile & Password
Update your display name, timezone, and change your account password.
Overview
Every TestKase user can manage their own profile and password from the account settings. These settings are personal and do not affect other users in your organization. Your display name appears across the platform — on test case assignments, execution history, comments, and team member lists.
Edit Profile
Display Name
Your display name is how other team members see you throughout TestKase. To update it:
- Navigate to Settings → Profile from the settings sidebar.
- Update the Display Name field.
- Click Save. The change is reflected immediately across all views.
Use your full name or a recognizable name so teammates can easily identify you in assignments, comments, and execution history.
Timezone
Your timezone setting affects how dates and times are displayed throughout the platform. To update it:
- Navigate to Settings → Profile.
- Select your Timezone from the dropdown.
- Click Save. All timestamps in the UI will adjust to your selected timezone.
Timezone is a personal setting. Each user can set their own timezone independently, so a global team sees dates in their local time.
Change Password
To change your account password:
- Navigate to Settings → Profile or Change Password from the settings sidebar.
- Enter your current password for verification.
- Enter your new password.
- Enter the new password again in the confirm password field.
- Click Change Password.
Password Requirements
- Minimum 8 characters.
- Must include at least one number.
- Must include at least one special character (e.g., !, @, #, $, %).
- The new password must be different from the current password.
If you forget your current password, use the Forgot Password link on the login page to reset it via email. You cannot change your password from the settings page without knowing your current password.
