Monitor your organization's storage usage and manage storage quota across plans.
Overview
Every TestKase organization has a storage quota for file attachments on test cases and defects. The Storage page shows your current usage, plan tier, and options for getting more space.
Storage Allocation
Storage limits depend on your subscription plan:

|---|---|---|
| Always Free | 3 GB | Fixed allocation for the organization |
| Premium | 5 GB per seat | Scales with your seat count (e.g., 10 seats = 50 GB) |
| Enterprise | Custom | Contact sales for custom storage allocation |
Premium storage scales automatically with your seat count. Adding seats to your subscription increases your total storage quota.
Monitoring Usage
Navigate to Settings → Storage to view your storage dashboard:
- Plan badge — Shows whether you are on the Free or Premium plan.
- Progress bar — Visual indicator of storage consumption with a percentage display.
- Tooltip details — Hover over the progress bar to see used GB, free GB, total GB, and usage percentage.
Color Indicators
The progress bar uses color coding to indicate storage health:
| Usage Level | Color | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Below 80% | Green | Storage is healthy — plenty of space remaining |
| 80% or above | Red | Storage is running low — consider taking action |
When storage usage reaches 80% or above, the progress bar turns red as a warning. Free up space by removing unused attachments, or upgrade your plan for additional storage.
What Counts Toward Storage
Storage quota is consumed by:
- Test case attachments — Files uploaded to test case steps or descriptions.
- Defect attachments — Files attached to defect reports.
- Uploaded files — Any other files uploaded within the organization.
Storage usage is calculated across all projects in the organization.
Getting More Storage
Free Plan Users
If you are on the Always Free plan and need more storage:
- Click Upgrade to Premium on the Storage page to navigate to the Subscriptions page.
- Premium provides 5 GB per seat, significantly increasing your total quota.
Premium Plan Users
If you are on the Premium plan and need storage beyond your current allocation:
- Add more seats — Each additional seat adds 5 GB to your total quota.
- Contact support — For storage needs beyond what seat-based scaling provides, reach out to the support team for assistance.
