Getting Started

Quick Start: Visual

Take your first screenshot, take it again, and see what changed.

Four steps from a new account to seeing what changed on a page.

Using an AI assistant? Let it do the setup.

Paste this into Claude, Cursor, Copilot or any coding agent:

Read https://www.testkase.com/SKILL.md to set up TestKase testing.

1. Make a project

Open the Visual card from the hub, go to Projects → New project, and give it a name. Most teams only ever need one.

2. Take the first screenshot

Go to Builds → New run. Give the screen a name, type the page address, pick a browser, and start. TestKase opens the page and takes a full-page screenshot.

The page must open without a login. For a page behind a login, take the screenshot from a Live session instead — see Visual — Getting started.

3. Nothing happens — that's correct

The first screenshot has nothing to compare with, so it becomes the baseline: the version you approve. Check it shows what you meant.

4. Take it again

Run the same screen again. It comes back Identical, or Different — and a different one waits for you in Builds, with the changes marked. Approve it if the change was on purpose, or report it as a bug. See Reviewing changes.

For the full walkthrough, including sending screenshots from your own tests, see Visual — Getting started.
