Overview
Drive real physical phones, tablets, and desktop browsers live in your browser tab — tap, type, install your own app, and see the screen with audio.
Live
TestKase Live puts a real physical device inside your browser tab and lets you drive it in real time. Pick a real iPhone, Android phone, tablet, or a desktop browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari on macOS and Windows), and it streams straight to your tab — tap, type, scroll, and watch the screen with live audio.
These are genuine devices on real hardware, not emulators or simulators. What you see in a session is exactly what your users get: real GPUs, real sensors, real OS behaviour, and real vendor quirks.
Live is manual, interactive testing — a human at the controls. It's the companion to Automate, which runs your Selenium & Playwright suites on real browsers.

How Live differs from Automate
Live and Automate use the same real hardware — the difference is who's driving.
| Aspect | Live | Automate |
|---|---|---|
| Who drives the device | A human, in a browser tab | A test script (Selenium / Playwright / Appium) |
| Interaction | Manual and interactive — tap, type, explore | Scripted and unattended — runs pre-written steps |
| When it runs | Now, when you click Start | On a schedule or in CI/CD |
| Best for | Exploration, debugging, demos, manual QA | Regression, scale, overnight test suites |
| Billing SKU | live | automate |
Live and Automate are separate subscriptions. A single Live plan unlocks both real-device mobile sessions and desktop browser sessions — they draw from the same allowance.

FAQ
▶Are these real devices or emulators?
Real physical devices. TestKase Live runs on genuine iPhones, iPads, Android phones and tablets over USB, and real desktop browsers running on real machines — never emulators or simulators. You get real GPUs, real sensors, and real OS behaviour, so what you see in a session is exactly what your users get.
▶Can I install my own app?
Yes. You can upload your own .ipa (iOS) or .apk (Android) and TestKase installs it on the real device, or you can install directly from the App Store or Play Store. On iOS, no Apple ID sign-in is required. See Installing Apps.
▶Which browsers and devices are supported?
Desktop browsers are Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari on macOS and Windows. On mobile you get real iPhones and iPads and real Android phones and tablets. See Reference for the current fleet at a glance.
▶How many free minutes do I get?
The Live plan includes a one-time lifetime free allowance of 90 minutes, shared across your mobile and browser sessions. It's a lifetime pool — it doesn't reset each month. Paid tiers remove the minute cap and raise how many sessions you can run in parallel. See Reference.
▶Is Live scripted or manual?
Live is manual and interactive — a human drives the device in real time from a browser tab. If you want scripted, unattended runs (in CI/CD or overnight regression), use Automate instead. The two are complementary and run on the same hardware.
