Session Tools
Every Live session has a toolbar of tools for capturing evidence and controlling the device. Availability depends on whether you're on a mobile device or a browser, but the common tools are below.
Screenshot
Capture the current screen as an image. Screenshots are saved to the session gallery, so you can grab several during a session and review or download them afterwards. Use it to attach a clean capture to a bug report.
Record
Record the session to an MP4 video — ideal for capturing a reproduction of a bug that's hard to describe. Start recording before you reproduce the issue, then stop; the recording is saved for you to download.
Recordings and screenshots are captured only when you ask for them. Live is manual testing — nothing is saved automatically, so you keep exactly the evidence you choose to capture.
Audio / unmute
The video stream starts muted. Click the audio button to hear the device or browser — needed for testing media playback, in-app sounds, notifications, and calls.
Device controls (mobile)
The physical buttons and system gestures for phones and tablets:
- Home, Back (Android), and App Switcher / Recents.
- Volume up and down.
- Rotate between portrait and landscape.
Location (mobile)
Set the device's GPS coordinates to a location of your choice and change it mid-session. Use it to test region-locked content, maps, delivery and ride flows, and geofencing — without physically moving the device.
Files & media
Push content onto the device or browser:
- Files — send a file into the session (e.g. a document to upload through the app).
- Media — push photos and videos onto a mobile device so you can test photo pickers, uploads, and media playback with real content.
In a browser session, files land in a Downloads folder so a page's file picker can reach them easily.
Gallery
The gallery collects everything you capture during the session — screenshots and recordings — in one place, ready to review and download.
Logs
Read the live log tail from the device or browser while you drive it, so you can see errors and diagnostic output as they happen. Logs stream during the session; download them before you close if you want to keep them.
Device info
See the details of what you're driving — model, OS version, and session information — so you can note exactly which device and build you reproduced an issue on.
End session
Click End session when you're finished. The device is cleaned and released back to the fleet, and your session time stops counting against your allowance. Anything in the gallery stays available afterwards.
Sessions have a maximum length and count against your plan's minutes. If you're approaching the limit, wrap up or capture what you need — then start a fresh session if you need more time.
