Profile & Password
Update your display name, timezone, and change your account password.
Overview
Every TestKase user can manage their own profile and password from the profile page. These settings are personal and don't affect other users. Your display name is what teammates see on test case assignments, execution history, comments, and team lists.
Open profile settings
- From the top-right profile dropdown, click Profile.
- Profile page lives at
testkase.com/profile(accessible from any product).
Edit profile
Display name
- On the Profile page, edit the First Name / Last Name fields.
- Click Save. The change is reflected immediately across all views.
Use your full name or a recognizable handle so teammates can identify you quickly in assignments, comments, and execution history.
Timezone
Your timezone setting affects how dates and times are displayed in TestKase — test cycle runs, execution timestamps, session history across Live and Automate, scan history, and AI credit usage.
- On the Profile page, pick your Timezone from the dropdown.
- Click Save. All timestamps in the UI adjust to the selected timezone.
If you have never set a timezone, TestKase detects it from your browser the first time you sign in and saves it to your profile. You can change it at any time.
Timezone is a per-user setting. Distributed teams see each timestamp in their own local time — without affecting anyone else.
Two exceptions. Invoices and receipts are always issued in UTC, so the document matches the payment record exactly — the timezone is printed on each one. And scheduled accessibility scans keep the timezone they were created with, so changing your profile timezone never silently moves a scan that is already running on a schedule.
Change password
Password changes are on a dedicated page for security.
- Open the profile dropdown → Change Password (or go to
/change-password). - Enter your current password for verification.
- Enter the new password and confirm it.
- Click Change Password.
Password requirements
- Minimum 8 characters.
- Must include at least one uppercase letter and one lowercase letter.
- Must include at least one number.
- Must include at least one symbol — any symbol on a standard keyboard, such as
! @ # $ % & * _ - . ?, or a space. Letters with accents (likeé) and emoji don't count.
This is the same rule as sign up and Forgot Password, so a password accepted on one is accepted on the others.
If you forget your current password, use Forgot Password on the login page to reset via email. You can't change your password from the profile page without the current one.
After the change
- TestKase emails you a confirmation that your password was updated. If that mail arrives and you did not change your password, reset it immediately and contact support.
- Changing your password here does not sign out your other devices. Sessions already signed in stay signed in.
- Resetting your password through Forgot Password does the opposite — it signs you out everywhere and every other browser and device must log in again. Use the reset route if you think someone else has your password.
- There is no rule against reusing your current password; TestKase does not compare the new password with the old one.
Forgot Password is limited to 5 reset links in 24 hours, and each link is single-use and expires after 48 hours. Request one, check spam before requesting another, and use it promptly.
