GitLab Issues
Connect GitLab.com and file Live, Automate and Accessibility bugs as issues in a project, with the screenshot attached.
Before you start
You need a GitLab.com account that is a member of the project where issues should be created (Reporter or higher). Self-managed GitLab instances are not supported here.
Get a token from GitLab
- GitLab → your avatar → Edit profile → Access tokens (or Preferences → Access tokens).
- Add new token, name it TestKase, set an expiry, tick the
apiscope, create it, and copy it (glpat-…).
Connect it in TestKase
- Open Organization → Integrations → Defects and click Connect on the GitLab Issues card.
- Paste the token and click Connect.
- Choose the project (
group/project). Archived projects aren't listed. Click Save.
What gets created
An issue in that project with the report title and the pre-filled details, created by the token's owner. The screenshot is uploaded to the project and referenced from a note on the issue — that's how GitLab attaches files.
Troubleshooting
▶Project list is empty
The token's user isn't a member of any unarchived project.
Fix: Check membership; the token can only see what its owner can.
▶"Your defect tracker rejected the credentials"
Token expired (GitLab tokens always have an expiry) or revoked.
Fix: Create a new token, ⋮ → Reset, reconnect.
