Google Chat
Create an incoming webhook on a Google Chat space and connect it to TestKase notifications.
Before you start
Google Chat webhooks need two things that personal Gmail accounts don't have:
- a Google Workspace account (a company account managed in an admin console), and
- a space — webhooks belong to spaces, not to direct messages.
If you see "Webhook management is restricted", your Workspace admin has turned webhooks off. It's enabled in the Admin console under Apps → Google Workspace → Google Chat → Chat apps and integrations → Allow users to manage incoming webhooks. On a personal @gmail.com account there is nothing to enable — use Slack, Discord or a custom webhook instead.
Get the webhook URL from Google Chat
- In Google Chat, next to Spaces click + → Create a space. Name it (for example QA alerts) and create it. Skip this if the space already exists.
- Open the space, click its name at the top, and choose Apps & integrations (on some accounts: the ▾ next to the name → Manage webhooks).
- Under Webhooks, click Add webhook. Name it TestKase; the avatar URL is optional. Save.
- Copy the URL. It starts with
https://chat.googleapis.com/v1/spaces/.
Connect it in TestKase
- Open Organization → Integrations → Notifications and click Connect on the Google Chat card.
- Enter a name, paste the webhook URL, choose the events, and save.
Test it
Start and end a Live session. The space receives a Live session ended card with the device, duration and reason.
Troubleshooting
▶No Apps & integrations / Manage webhooks entry
Personal Google account, or webhooks disabled by the admin.
Fix: Use a Workspace account; ask the admin to enable incoming webhooks.
▶"Webhook management is restricted"
Admin policy.
Fix: See the note above.
▶Cards arrive but times look wrong
Google Chat shows the UTC time from the card.
Fix: Slack shows your local time; other platforms show UTC.
